Tahitian pearls, also known as black pearls, are a type of pearl that is cultivated primarily around the islands of French Polynesia, especially around Tahiti. Despite the name “black pearls,” they come in a variety of colors, including black, gray, green, and purple, with overtones of blue, pink, and gold. The term “black” is often used to describe the dark hues that are characteristic of these pearls.
