A natural pearl, also known as a “moti” in some languages, is a rare and valuable gemstone that forms inside the soft tissue of a living mollusk, such as an oyster or clam.  A South sea pearl is cultured in the south seas which are the warm waters of the Indian and Pacific Oceans. They are known for their large size, smooth surface and luxurious lustre.
